Let’s explain the pictures first!! For the ghost festival, the background of the pictures is made for special effect, ha ha~~( the fact is that pedestrian didn’t take the camera well…)

Masa is Japanese and he comes to Taiwan for checking the selling of his company product. And Cherry and I, will be his one day tour guide!

As Cherry and I wait for Masa in front of Shin Kong Mitshkoshi department store, we feel bored and start to guess which one may be Masa. After 15 minutes, we’re just tired of this game and wonder where Masa is. Suddenly, my cell phone ring and it’s Masa!! Because this is my first time to chat with Japanese especially in English, I don’t know the ascent and catch no idea what Masa said. I took the phone to Cherry and have her to answer the phone but she doesn’t know what Masa talks about, either. Oh my god!! As I run into this kind of situation, I doubt if I’m an applied English student…However, thanks to my intelligent brain, I figure out what he means: information counter! Masa carries many staff, stands next to the counter and greets to Cherry and me. Masa, wearing casual shirt and short pants, is not tall one but is tall enough for me. (Coz I’m not tall…)

We took him to the F8 which is selling children goods and I asked Masa dose he buy the ticket as he goes back to Hsin Chu later. Masa says yes and shows me a paper, which full with many notes both with Japanese and Chinese. He is really a business man and plans all things well. This is the second for being a tour guide and I understand that Masa’s case is more original. Most foreigners come to Taiwan for business purpose.

Anyway, we do window shopping and finds Masa’s company product from each department store. Some the clerks think we’re weird because we take the photos for cotton swabs and Masa buys the baby goods although he is still single…Takashimaya is the last stop and we have a nice dinner there. Korean food is really spicy!!!!! I order the one without spicy and Cherry picks a little spicy pot. She tells me she gets fire from her mouth and I say I’m waiting for her to present the fire work, ha!! I ask Masa, who lowers his head and says nothing, how’s the food and he answers spicy, spicy, spicy…Maybe some body should take him to eat really Taiwan food. In order to catch the train at 9:00, we take taxi to Taipei station. During the time, we chat a lot and Masa teaches us how to say “You’re welcome” in Japanese. Cherry and I have little ability in Japanese so ask Masa to repeat many times. If we see the taxi driver’s answer, we understand that Cherry and I are not born for language. While the Masa get the change from driver and says “Xie Xie” in Chinese, the taxi driver says “you’re welcome” in Japanese. Marvelous! Oh, I just can say that the taxi driver has good listening and memory…
We end up with nice pictures and say good bye to each other. Nice memory with Masa and I’m happy that I have the second chance to be a tour guide!

P.S. Cherry says it’s really good to eat Häagen Dazs, especially someone treat it…
